Other suspects’ included Hawad Hashim Hamid, Ssekijulungu Wasswa and Sssembuusi Godfrey all from Lubaga division under pressure group peasants’ brigade.
“We want to put the blame of cholera outbreak in Kampala on the Lord mayor Ssalongo Elias Lukwago, hos councilors and urban division mayors as political heads of Kampala and charged with the role of policy making as per the KCCA Act” Mr. Buwembo said.
“We want these politicians to come out and explain to us as to which policy and law they contracted these private companies and charged them with a duty of collecting garbage while fetching fees from the residents of Kampala” Mr. Buwembo added.
They demand KCCA to immediately racall and terminate the contracts of these companies within a period of three days and that failure to do so by Monday next week starting at 10a, they are to start collecting signatures from Kampala residents to petition the constitutional court for innervations.
No sooner had they finished addressing the media than police brutality arrested and dragged them to Nateete police.
