47 companies stripped off Namanve industrial park land

Uganda Investment Authority UIA has withdrawn 47 non performing companies in the industrial and business parks.

This has been revealed by the Executive Director Jolly Kaguhangire while addressing the media on the performance of UIA for the financial year 2017.

She revealed that land totalling to 117 acres has been  reallocated to companies that are more serious to develop it with priority  being given to capable indigenous local companies.

At the moment Kampala Industrial and Business Park in Namave has 23 industries operating however 80 companies are in active construction.

They have also worked closely with National Water and Sewerage Corporation to extend 60% of bulk water to the Kampala Industrial and Business Park.
