Opposition Forum For Democraic Change (FDC) presidential aspirant Patrick Oboi Amuriat has lashed at his competitors in the race for using police to interrupt his campaign rallies over  Besigye Kizza’s appearance on his meetings.

Addressing a press conference at Katonga road in Kampala on Wednesday morning, Amuriat asserts that other candidates have the liberty to invite Besigye but not to use his appearance as an excuse to block him and interfere with his rallies as its been the case.

“Its upon the candidates to invite who to be part of the meetings, Besigye is a party member and a delegate and nothing deters him from addressing any rallies he wishes on invitation, its not the problem of “POA” team, others have not invited Dr. Kizza Besigye to address their rallies  and indeed I have spoken to him and is awaiting for such invitations to come from my colleagues, if they lack the ingenuity that is their own problem, we will continue with whoever we feel can appeal to  the population of FDC in order for us to be confirtable to win the FDC presidential elections” Amuriat said.

Amuriat further cautioned the police over intercepting his campaign which resulted into the death of Edson Nasasira and injuring several of his supporter.
Its upon this back ground that he has joined other opposition players to sue individual police officers who were involved in the Rukungiri fracas and since  reviewing of the video clips of the incident are in final stages.

While displaying his new campaign program for Busoga and Eastern region together with the Lubaga division mayor Owek. Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo, Amuriat who exhibited a notification letter to the IGP about the same called upon the police to act professionally or else risk their wrath.
