Opposition Uganda People’ Congress UPC is yet in another flesh internal conflicts this time with in Jimmy Michael Akena faction after a section of his leadership led by the party administrator Moses Kemba Higenyi lashing at him with a call to resign his position on accusations of bedrooming with the ruling NRM and president Museveni who bought off the party at 6 billion shillings allegedly handled to Akena.
He warns that failure to resign peaceful they will be left with no option other than forcefully oust.
Angry Kemba asserted that they made national wide consultative meetings with party elders after seeing the party headquarters under siege by mafias who attack anybody tring to criticize the Akena’s leadership.
While addressing the media at melting pot in Kampala, Kemba regreted campaigning for Jimmy Michael Akena as the party president in 2015 since it has portrayed him as liar.
He said his support to Akena was rooted from he portraying himself as a staunch UPC and fact that he is a son to the founderof the party Milton Obote.
Now Kemba said that their faction is open to dialogue involving all stakeholder not individuals dialogues involving all shareholders are welcomed but as of now they have rolled out a campaign to our him from the party.
Mean while Kemba is opposed to any move aimed at amending article 106 (b) that aims at scrapping off the age limit of the president.
