Asantehene, kabaka hold talks on how to further bind their relationship

The Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi in company of her queen Nabagereka Sylvia Nagginda, the Buganda premier Charles Peter Mayiga and the Mengo cabinet ministers have today morning welcomed the king of the Asante Kingdom of Ghana Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu the second and his delegation at Bulange Mengo.
They held a meeting where they discussed various issues affiliation and binding issues intended to further relations between the two kingdoms.
The Asantehene who was invited by Kabaka to grace his silver jubilee coronation function tomorrow at Lubiri Mengo has gifted the kabaka a golden medal, chair, the asante traditional drum among while the Nabagereka Naginda Sylvia also received a traditional attire.
After the meeting at Bulange, they all proceeded to Namirembe cathedral were they were welcomed by Bishop Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira and Bishop Michael Ssenyimba.
In his special prayer for the two kings especially the main celebrant the Kabaka, Bishop Luwalira thanked God for the journey mercies and the 25 years of life, protection and visionary leadership gifted to Kabaka Ronald Mutebi.
He also called on everyone to always recognize God’s supremacy in whatever they do since without his intervention, nothing can be done.
After the prayers both delegations preceded to Namugongo Catholic shrine and later toured different parts of Kampala while the day will be crowned by a sumptuous dinner at the Kabaka’s palace in Kireka-Banda.
