Bishop Kibuuka’ EOC church patriarch to visit Uganda on Wednesday


EOC Patriarch Jerold Gliege on his first visit to Uganda

The patriarch of the Evangelical Orthodox Church EOC (Catholic Eastern rite) across the globe who is based in Canada Bishop Jerold Gliege is set to visit Uganda from Wednesday 28th November to Sunday 2nd December this week for missionary work.
The EOC establishment started in 2008 in Uganda however it shot to limelight in 2016 after the charismatic Bishop, Jacinto Kibuuka Defected to it following his expulsion from the Roman Catholic Church.
This is going to be patriarch Jerold’ second time in the country with the first one being in February 2017 when he sanctified Mamre prayer centre as an international holy and prayer place.
On the very event he also appointed the then father Kibuuka as the Bishop elect for the Central and Eastern provinces of Uganda which position he was consecrated to 12 November 2017.
Among other things, patriarch Jerold is expected to visit the EOC Eastern mission in Kagumu, Kibuku district, hold a meeting with all the clergy in the country and leading the divine liturgy at Mamre international prayer Centre Namugongo Janda on Sunday.
