The Bishop for central and Eastern provinces of uganda in the evangelical orthodox Catholic Church (Antioch) Jacinto Kibuuka on Saturday hosted over 700 children for the mamre children Christmas party at mamre international prayer center Namugongo Janda.
Unlike other religious leaders, the charismatic priest spent the entire day with the children praying, playing and interacting with them.
He first held a divine liturgy for the children and he prayed for wisdom, knowledge and morals, arguing that they are hope and future of the country.
Bishop Kibuuka also appealed to the parents and guardians to refrain themselves from acts of domestic violence especially in the presence of their children.
” Parents do not quarrel or fight in the presence of your children because then you will be depicting a picture of non respect to your children.” said Kibuuka
He further appealed to the parents to spend reasonable time with their children and spare time to pray together and interact with them in this time of holidays.
Kibuuka unveiled the program for the end of year over night at Mamre international prayer center namugongo Janda.
“on the 29th we shall be casting out demons and misfortunes, 30th we shall pray for the families and 31st we shall pray for blessings and favour in 2018, we shall also have fire wax here” He concluded.
