Bishop Kibuuka urges parents to bring up children in Christ

By Ronald Kabuye
Parents have been urged to live an exemplary life appropriate to their children especially in this holiday and festive season.
The call has been sounded by the Bishop for Central and Eastern provinces of Uganda in the Evangelical Orthodox Church  EOC that subscribes to the Eastern Catholic rite Jacinto Kibuuka during the children Christmas party held at Mamre international prayer centre Namugongo Janda.
Bishop Kibuuka said the aim of the children’s Christmas party is to teach the children  about God, mingle, celebrate and enjoy together as children, since many times they are left behind in such celebrations yet they are the future generation and leaders of the country.

The charismatic Bishop also appealed to parents not to live their children to maids and televisions to be their companions but rather to make time for them to take care of them,  interact, play and pray with them always.
He further urged parents to bring up their children in Jesus Christ, prayer, care and love so that they may give the same back and to the world thus a creation of a better nation.
He also used  the event to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year before rallying the public to join them at Mamre namugongo janda on the 31st December for the night prayers that will usher them into a New Year 2019.
