City tycoon Charles Muhangi dead

City business tycoon and former rally champion Charles Muhangi has died.

Vincent Sekatte, the public relations officer for CID and Interpol, confirmed the passing of Muhangi Thursday morning.

He said they had received news that Muhangi, who owns a string of businesses both in Kampala and Mbarara, died at his home in Buziga, Kampala.

Sekatte said they have sent a team of Police officers to his home, and that details would be provided as and when they come through.

Muhangi had been emboiled in a longstanding battle with fellow tycoon Drake Lubega over the ownership of Qualicel Bus Terminal, better known as Baganda Bus Park.

Last month, President Yoweri Museveni met the duo and agreed to settle their dispute.
