The deputy inspector general of police Brigadier Muzeeyi Sabiti on Wednesday evening paid a surprise intelligence visit to the Bishop for central and Eastern provinces of uganda in the Evangelical Orthodox Church EOC jacinto Kibuuka’s mamre international prayer centre namugongo Janda where the martyrs celebrations for the six religions under the Christian Ecumenical Council Of Uganda CECU will take place.
Muzeeyi who had come to check on the security situation of the place where a huge number military officers and other security officers are deployed, in his assessment he found everything to fine as planned.
Earlier on in the afternoon the kampala metropolitan police commander commissoners of police Moses Kafeero Was the first to access the place and creditted the organising committe at mamre international prayer centre for following all the security guidelines.
He also cautioned criminals and antagonizers not to tamper with the celebration.
“I want to caution those who want to use this holy day to commit crimes and bring disturbance that we shall not allow it. we shall arrest you, immediately take you to court then Luzira prisons.
I urge Ugandans, visitors and pligrims to keep law and order, cooperate with the security agencies and be conscious.” said Kafeero
On his part the charismatic Bishop said everything is set for the day’s celebrations which shall be preceded by over night deliverance prayers on Saturday the 2nd of June.
He Reteirate that they shall not allow obsenity, pork, alcohol and related liquor at mamre international prayer centre since their mission, focus and concentration will be on prayers.
Meanwhile pligrims have started arriving at mamre and the first group to arrive is from Kagumu Kibuku district others on the way include those from Kiryandongo, Jinja, Iganga, adjumani, Fortportal, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Democratic Republic of Congo.
Those who will join Bishop Kibuuka from Kampala will use routes of Ntinda, Najeera, Kira, turn on Kisakya Maria hardware and follow the direction arrows while those from Mukono side will use Seeta Misindye, Bukerere, Nabusungwe, Nsaasa and follow the directions arrows
