Rajiv Ruparelia the newcomer into Motorsport of RR racing team will be one of the coups of this season. It won’t be a surprise if he captures power from the big boys at the end of this season.
The rookie driver joined motorsport in April 2019 with little or zero expectations of performance from the fraternity, little did they know that Ruparelia was charged and determined to shock the fraternity plus some of fellow competitors.
Driving a VW Polo proto, Rajiv had to start from autocross and it was mandatory to do three events as par regulations in order to be prompted to Clubman Rally Championship [CRC], which he did. He finished 2nd in his first event, then won the last two autocross events beating his big competitors.
When prompted to CRC, his first event never went well since he was in a rented car Subaru N10, the VW Polo had issues but still in the subaru Rajiv finished on top of his CRC class.
Looking at his second CRC event at Kabalega Hoima Rally 2019, Rajiv completed his required 50% rally as per regulations when leading it overall with a margin of 1:38 seconds. This really shocked his fans and believed he can be lethal in a very short time as others never believed it.
Rajiv threw another shocker in the last event NRC7 when he beat all his competitors 4 stages out of 5 he did before retiring with an engine oil leakage which led him to lose the CRC championship that he had bagged.
This website speaks to Rajiv about the team preparations for 2020, “we had our first test on Sunday as the car had just came back from Kenya after a rebuild” Rajiv said in interview.
“Our focus is to win races and we have the ability to tackle local rallies, we have to be fit in mind set and fit in body so that the performance of last two stages is the same as first ones, and the key point is to finish every rally” Rajiv adds.
However Rajiv assures fans put there who may think he can’t match the big boys, he said,
“No doubt, if any one doubt, let him talk, action speaks louder, I beaten them in Hoima and in NRC7 yet Blick had to make top speeds to win the rally if he had any chance of winning the championship” Rajiv said
” Am to assure my fans that we’re having an exciting 2020 season at home, and we will be going for WRC Safari Rally in Kenya with our VW Polo, and bookings are already done. Get to know if we win the NRC championship, next year we’re driving an R5 of any brand we will choose.
Double trouble leader, Rajiv Ruparelia with Rajiv Ruparelia rally Team is ready to take Mbarara rally the season opener, which slated on 14th to 16th of February 2020
