Makindye division deputy mayor DPs Bosco Lusagala has appealed government to immediately commence searching for young opposition activists who are not known their whereabouts that has put their relatives at stake.
Lusagala says, there are currently 5 young opposition activists who were disappeared sometimes back like Adam Mukibi of Democratic Party a resident of Gayaza Wakiso district, Sylvester Lubayiza a resident of Mengo Kampala district, Geoffrey Kaweesi of Democratic Party a resident of Makindye, Paul Muwumba of Uganda young democrats (UYD), a resident of Jinja district and a one Peter of Democratic Party a resident of Nyanama, ’’its amazing without seeing our colleagues who were disappeared, and I have always talking to their relatives, unfortunately they are also not aware of their whereabouts, Lusagala added’’.
He highlighted that, they have been collaborating with these disappeared persons specifically into political issues giving each other ideas to move the country forward peacefully adding that he is worried over their disappearance without genuine reasons.
He says he has several times talked to their relatives, but unfortunately even them, they don’t know their whereabouts adding that he is soon to report the case to relevant security agencies seeking for intervention, ’’am soon to report this case to police as a measure to look for our colleagues, and I call upon government to take serious action against this matter, ’’Lusagala added’’.
He however lashed at famous opposition political leaders over the utilization of youth to achieve their targets and later drop them to suffer, ‘’some opposition politicians utilize youth into political issues specifically when come to protest against government’s plans but later leave them to suffer in prisons if they are arrested, ‘’Lusagala said’’.
