Police led by the regional police commander RPC KMP  eastern Michael Sabila Musani has on Tuesday  afternoon arrested and detained  Dr. Stella Nyanzi at Jinja road police station for parking and locking herself inside a car across the police headquarters main entrance.

Nyanzi of the women protest working group decided to do so following the police officers at the main entrance denying her access to the deputy inspector general of police offices brigadier Muzeeyi Sabiti who invited her and other women for the security meeting today at 11am.
Nyanzi questioned why the DIGP Sabiti had to waste her valuable time by calling her the meeting to be humiliated and bounced back by his junior officers.
“They refused to allow me in. Instead of hospitality, they gave me hostility. Why must DIGP waste my valuable time? Why treat me as a hostile party yet this Muzeeyi invited me to discuss? I have reparked my car across the entrance to the police.
If I don’t go in, I need DIGP to come and chase me away in person” Nyanzi wrote in parts on her face book account hours before the arrest.
It should be noted that last week on tuesday  the same group protested at the same place following failure by the IGP  Martin Okoth Ochola to meet them to discuss and draw solutions to the rampant women kidnaps and murders in the country.
He however promised to find an appropriate day within three days to meet them which have since elapsed.
Another meeting was scheduled today by the same person but due to unknown reasons it was also cancelled however we are not certain whether the DIGP had indeed invited Dr. Nyanzi for the meeting.
