The presiding bishop for the Evangelical Orthodox Church in Uganda (EOC) Jacinto Kibuuka has urged the faithful and the public at large to use the current lock down to strategize and plan on how to start afresh when the country gets back to normalcy.
“I urge everyone to sit down in your house and plan on the way forward after the lockdown in terms of developing and upholding yourself, your families and country.” Bishop Kibuuka said.
Bishop Kibuuka who is also the spiritual director of Mamre International Prayer Centre Namugongo Janda took a whip at the undisciplined security officers beating up citizen.
He said beating and caning people is a sign of primitivity and being uncultured thus urged them to execute their duties professionally and ethically with love.
He also applauded president Museveni, the government and everyone who has put in efforts and appropriately responded towards the fight against COVID19 pandemic in Uganda.
Bishop Kibuuka said this while giving his Easter message in which he urged the faithful and public to trust and have faith in God who He believes will soon make the COVID19 pandemic history as opposed to troubling our hearts thus referring to John 14:1.
‘’ I pray that this Easter fills your home with peace, joy and faith of a reason Christ in your hearts and your families. May you feel renewal of life and blessing of God since we are Easter people therefore, we are victorious.” Said Bishop Kibuuka.
He further emphasized that they will conduct the Easter Prayers on their official Facebook pages on Sunday at 11am and that after Easter celebrations, the prayers will be conducted every Wednesday at 5pm and Sunday 12 noon on the same pages that’s : Evangelical Orthodox Church Uganda- EOC, Bishop Jacinto Kibuuka and Mamre International Prayer Centre Uganda.
