The presiding bishop for the Evangelical Orthodox Church (EOC) in Uganda Jacinto Kibuuka has urged the public to welcome, encourage and embrace those who have cured from the deadly Covid19 pandemic and those who have completed their quarantine days and declared Covid19 negative by ministry of Health as they integrate into their respective communities.
Bishop Kibuuka made the remarks while celebrating the Easter Sunday divine liturgy at Mamre International Prayer Centre Namugongo Janda via his Face book page.
He said the public should celebrate such people’ victory because its a clear sign of great hope and a Manifestation of God’s power and Mighty since other countries have already lost thousands of people due to the same pandemic.
Bishop Kibuuka also applauded doctors, health workers, government and everybody who is doing his best to fight the pandemic thus appealing to the public to observe the ministry of health and presidential directive and guideline on COVID19.
Bishop Kibuuka’ call comes at a time when four patients were fully cured of the deadly Covid-19 virus and discharged from Entebbe grade B hospital on Saturday.
The developments also coincided with the release of 113 travelers mostly from Dubai from mandatory quarantine centre in Kikoni, Makerere where they spent more than two weeks.
More good news is that 14 more people have fully cured from the deadly pandemic and are yet to be discharged from hospital.
Meanwhile Bishop Jacinto Kibuuka encouraged men and women to focus and put their trust in God during this trying moment as opposed to avoiding their responsibilities.
He further appealed to them to use this time of lock down and staying at home to think and strategize on their development plan after the storm has passed.
