FDC LASHES AT JUDICIARY, M7 OVER INJUSTICE-FDC 10TH NC

Opposition Forum for Democratic Change FDC party president Rtd. maj gen Gregory mugisha  muntu has lashed at the judiciary over injustices exhibited in the post 2016 election exercise including banning their prayers, passing bans on party activities among others.

Delivering his remarks in the 10th party national council meeting held at the party headquarters in najjanankumbi ahead of their november national delegates’ conference, Muntu could not hold back his happiness on the news of justice kavuma stephen retirement that was once early this year.
He asserted that Kavuma has been a pillar in inflicting pain on his party by making uncontitutional ruling against FDC thus his retirement will see them get some relief.

Muntu also condemned the several attacks by the government forces and security agencies against citizens like in Kasese and the ongoing machete groups in the party strong holds saying that Ugandan should prepare for more as long as NRM government is still in power since its in panic and aim to inflict fear amongst Ugandans.
He however said that as FDC they are still committed to ousting the sitting government and bringing about peaceful transition despite the fact that the country is sitting on the time bomb.
Muntu also assured the public that he will offer himself for the party presidency come November.
In the same way the party Secretary General Hon. Nathan Nandala  Mafabi  has given a comprehensive report on how the party has been performing including giving accountability on the funds  the party gets.
He bragged about on how the party managed to among other things pay off another property adding to the current one which makes their party the only one with property bought on its own money not public funds.
He also accused president Museveni and the sitting government for being behind land grabbing in the country alleging that he uses police and military to fight their presidential flag bearer Dr.  Kizza Besigye from holding sensitization rallies on the same.
He further highlighted a number of challenges the party is still crippling with including among others internal fights and some leaders using their positions as a business venture.
The 2 days meeting which has began today, will among other issues make some amendments in their constitution including the article that talks about of electing the elders and reviewing their leadership strategies.
The meeting which is running under the theme strengthening party cohesion through adopting strategies that will take fdc to power was also attended to by the four time presidential candidate Rtd. Dr.  Kizza Besigye.
