As the opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) is left with 17 days to their Namboole delegates conference to elect the leaders in over 4 positions, the party is still stranded with 2 delegates who are claimed to be illegally appointed by incumbent Mugisha Muntu.
While displaying the party voters’ register at the party headquarters in Najjanankumbi today, Dan Mugarura Bakaaki the party electoral commission chairman said that out of 1209, 1207 have been confirmed with only 2 people awaiting for scrutiny.
When asked to reveal the names of the said delegates, Mugararu decline on grounds of being an internal matter being handled by the executive though he revealed these being on the NEC.
“We cant reveal these names now until agreed upon but after the NEC deciding on how to handle this matter, we shall let you know either tomorrow or the next day” Mugarura noted
But according to our investigations, reliable sources who asked for anonymity revealed that Muntu appointed the former FDC Wakiso district woman MP Pauline Namaganda as the deputy secretary mobilization in charge of Kampala and Wakiso a position that is not in the party constitution and Ndyomugyeni Roland who was appointed deputy treasury general fundraising a position which is elective not appointive and its one of the position to be filled come November 24 at Namboole.
“Muntu illegally appointed Namaganda Pauline as the deputy secretary mobilization of Wakiso and Kampala a position that is not the party constitution as well as Rolanda Ndyomugyeni as the deputy treasury general fundraising a position that is subjected to a vote and not appointment and its among other vacancies to be filled by delegates on 24th so we cant allow such illegalities in the party by Muntu” Our source revels.
Though only presidential post is being talked about in the media, but according to our sources positions like secretary for labour and pension, EC board and deputy treasury general in charge of fundraising are some of other position to be filled.
