Opposition Forum for Democratic Change FDC has released its program for nominating Members that will represent it in the East African Legislative Assembly EALA.
According to the party spokesperson  Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda, the party has written to the speaker of parliament to issue it with guidelines especially on the number of people they are entitled to nominate so that they avoid the clashing that happen in the last election that left the party with no representative.
according to the program picking of nomination forms starts on the 19th of this month, official nominations will be on the 24 and 25 this month and on the 9th those nominated will address the national executive committee who will decide on who the best candidates are.
” we need to send people of high caribar because once they get in EALA parliament they represent a country not their parties and other colleagues from other parties especially NRM should pick a leaf from us.” Said Ssemujju.
Meanwhile FDC has condemned the continued harrashing and incercalation of the Rwenzururu King Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere.
FDC asserts the president museveni gets stastifcation from detaining powerful people in the country thus warning that it will cripple the justice system in the country.
“Mumbere’ re arrest shortly after being released by court is a bad signal to us and court because people will resort to mob justice since they can’t attain justice from where they expect it.
Of course  we know  Museveni derives his satisfaction from keeping powerful people in prison” Said Ssemujju
