FDC threatens to form a Militia over election irregularities

Opposition Forum for Democratic Change FDC has threatened to set up a militia group to do their election policing in case the electoral commission fails to stop the deployment of the military during election which threaten, arrest and brutalizeĀ  their polling agents and supporters during the same and to stop their casual way of conducting elections.
According to the party spokesperson Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda they have officially written to the electoral commission seeking for a meeting between the party top officials and the commission officials in this week to address the same and other issues including president Museveni direct monitorization and donation in areas were elections are due.
“If electoral commission is overwhelmed by Museveni, we shall help them in handling elections including in the upcoming by elections of the rukungiri woman member of parliament” said Semujju
In the same way Ssemujju has appealedĀ  to the five judges handling the electoral petitionĀ  not to look at the faces of petitioners while writing their judgement but the million Ugandans who want orderly and peaceful transfer of power and were let down by parliament, president and cabinet.
He thus called on Ugandans to stay vigilant since the process of changing the leadership of the country is not yet concluded.
