University students from various institutions that subscribe to  the Opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) have given a one month ultimatum to the party or else quit the party over unfulfilled promises.

Addressing journalists at Makerere University Wednesday morning, the President of the FDC Makerere Chapter, Mr. Edmon  Kahiigi, said the party has failed to put in place structures for youths from universities which limits their hopes of taking  power they struggle for.

Kahiingi adds that FDC top officials have failed to engage them to share with them issues of party and national importance a sign that they are discriminated in the party.

He has disclosed that Top party officials are enjoying party wealth but have failed to fight for issues of youth like social media and Mobile money tax.

“If FDC doesn’t change its avenue and increase its engagements between the top command and the youths, we are to hand in, leave and quit the party so that it can successfully take its route” Mr. Kahiingi warned.

“Its as if there some people who are benefiting from being opposition and yet we joined the party purposely to take up power, if they cannot make sure that we have a better government, then we should stop wasting our precocious time with them”. Mr. Kahiingi added.
