The former Inspector General of Police General Edward Kale Kayihura has been airlifted from Kashagama Lyantonde district to the Uganda people’s defense forces updf general headquarters Mbuya  kampala amidst tight security.
This has been revealed by the defense spokesperson Brigadier Richard Karemire who said that yesterday Gen Kayihura was supposed to report to the  chief of defense forces Gen. David Muhoozi and an helicopter was sent to transport him to that effect but on arrival it found that Kayihura had travelled to Mbarara district  thus the helicopter had to return to entebbe Air Force base.
Karemire says the helicopter was sent back today to Kayihura’s Kashagama country side home and has returned safely to Mbuya army headquarters with him abroad.
By press time the reason for summoning and airlifting general kayihura was not stipulated as per Brigadier Karemire communication.
It should be noted that yesterday the media was awash with hoax stories of Kayihura’s arrest and subsequent detention at officer’s mess in kololo.
Reports also indicated that plain clothed military officers stormed courtyard hotel, sky blue hotel and his home in Kashagama Lyantonde district in search for him which didn’t yield any fruits.
