Former IGP Kayihura not arrested by SFC in Lyantonde district

The former Ugandan Inspector General of Police General Edward Kale Kayihura has survived arrest on Tuesday evening  by reportedly plain clothed presidential elite officers in Lyantonde district
The plain clothed military officers caused tension in the district as they stormed and raided two big hotels in Lyantonde reportedly in search for Kayihura however it is reported that the search didn’t yield any fruits since the mission was  unsuccessful.
During the raid at both court yard  and Sky blue hotels no person was allowed to access the venues. The situation has not been any different from his country side home in Kasagama.
The development have been confirmed by security officials who didn’t divulge into details until an official report is outed.
It should be noted that the media a few weeks back was awash with reports that gen. Kayihura was barred from traveling abroad before his passport was confiscated.
