Opposition Forum for Democratic Change party FDC has advised government and president Museveni in particular to buy  land for the troubled tenants from the land lords on the registerable interest as provided for in the land fund as opposed to lamenting with those facing evictions.
Addressing a news conference at the party headquarters, the party spokesperson Hon. Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda advised that the 97 billion presidential donation budget should also be diverted to the land fund whose standing budget is 24 billion shillings to help in providing soft loans to the troubled tenants, buy the land from land lords and meet the debt of land lords who already sold their land to the land fund which stands at 1.7 trillion shillings.
Ssemujju also castigated president Museveni for moving with the land probe chairperson Justice Catherine Bamugemeirere instead of the policy implementer and lamenting with those facing evictions instead of giving them hope citing Lusanja and Mukono where people are facing evictions.
