The speaker of parliament Rt. Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga has urged Ugandan parents to invest in their children’s education.
Kadaga also appealed to schools to adopt both local and intentional curriculum since this creates higher chances of job opportunities globally.
The message was contained in her speech delivered by the woman member of parliament for Jinja district Hon.Loy Katali at the graduation ceremony of Horizon international college in jinja.
The speaker also urged investors to invest more in the education sector in order to improve on the human resource standards which will tremendous reduce unemployment in the country and improve quality of their products.
Kadaga also cautioned the graduates against waiting for job advertisements instead of using the acquired skills to create small enterprises especially through engaging their communities.
In the same way the principal of Horizon international college Mr.Lurkman assured the public that the skills acquired by graduates will make them successfully since they are also marketable.
