Isaiah Katumwa set for cancer charity dinner tonight at Africana

Government has been urged to spread more cancer centers to others regions as opposed to treatment services being at Uganda cancer institute Mulago only.
The call has been sounded by the chief executive officer of cancer charity foundation Albert Tusime who has organised a cancer charity dinner accompanied with performances from Isaiah Katumwa, Andy Walker, Brian Lubega today evening at hotel Africana.
Tusiime said that the funds to be collected will help to have efficient, sustained operations at their hostel at Bukoto including it’s expansion from 11 patient beds to 100 beds and to contribute to the walk that many cancer patients are hard pressed into.
He also called for prioritise sensitization about cancer, the organization will also do free cancer screening for the entire day.
Tickets for the dinner will go for 2,500,000 a table, couple 250,000 and individuals 150,000/=.
Cancer charity foundation is a non profit health care organisation striving to provide subsidized or free quality patient support services.
They now offer counselling services, patient accommodation, food and sundries and patient transportation between their appointments.
It should be noted that UCI registered 65,000 patients last year with cancer.
