The Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi ii has described the late Archbishop Livingstone Mpalanyi Nkoyoyo as a person who excuted his duties with determination .
This was carried in his message to Nkoyoyos family read out by the 3rd deputy Buganda Premier Apollo Makubuya at a requiem service at St. Paul’s Cathedral on Sunday night.
The service attended by hundreds of people was led by Namirembe diocese Bishop wilberforce Kityo Luwalira helped by several other bishops.
He was creative, an evangelist who preached for development.
He had accomplished a number of projects and started on many projects like the Bishops house at Namirembe ,church house, Namugongo Museum and others the Kabaka said in his message.
In the same way the Bishop for central and Eastern provinces of uganda in the evangelical orthodox Church and leader of Mamre prayer center the very Rev. Kibuuka Jacinto talked of the late Archbishop Nkoyoyo as a person who dedicated his life to promoting the glory of God, by positively touching and changing many peoples’ life directly and indirectly.
“He has been a formidable force in the service of our Lord Jesus Christ and the country at large, he welcomed everyone, he really practiced ecumenism.
We pray for Mama Ruth Nkoyoyo, the family and friends that God may comfort you.
We shall dearly miss you though we celebrate together your life and ministry as the faithful servant of God, the Rt. Rev. Dr. Livingstone Mpalanyi Nkoyoyo” said Kibuuka
Today monday, his body is to be taken at his home at Nakabago in Mukono for an overnight service.
On Tuesday the late Archbishop Nkoyoyo will be laid to rest at namugongo martyrs shrine
