Kampala high Court adjourns Jim Muhwezi land matter

Kampala high court executions division has Wednesday morning adjourned to Monday 28th May the land matter appealed by the former minister of information and technology Hon Jim Muhwezi seeking for an order to stay  an order granting custody of land to a one Mubiru James until the main case of the land wrangle between the two at land division is disposed off.

The adjournment has been due to indisposed trial judge Justice Paul Gadenya and according to the applicant’s lawyer Kalule Ahmed Mukasa, Muhwezi challenged the court order that permitted Mubiru to take over the said land in Makindye yet there is a related main suit at land division.

Kalule said that unless the main case is settled, there is no business at the execution court.

However, Mutembuli Yusufu counsel for the defendant   (Mubiru James) said that they’re ready for the court proceedings once the judge returns.

Speaking to Mr. Mubiru,  said that this matter  has been in court for years that he even run to justice Bamugemereirwe land commission early last year but the commission hasn’t upto now invited him to hear his matter hence appealing to the commission to pay some attention towards his cry.
