Nakawa division councilors under the leadership of their lord councillor representatives Alice Amony and Mugisha Moses  Okwera have unanimously  given a one month ultimatum to kampala capital city authority KCCA to tarmac Robert Mugabe road that connects Mbuya to URA newly constructed headquarters in Nakawa .

The ultimatum is as a result of the lord councilors’ consultative meeting with all the 11 parish councilors who make up Nakawa I chaired by Mugisha  to elaborate to them the proposed 2018/19 authority budget where they were asked to outline their priority roads for each parish.

“We cant discuss the next budget’s infrastructure development even when some roads which have for over 6 years been included consecutively and promised to be constructed by the end of April this year Robert Mugabe will be done, now let’s us use this road as a case study that may be the next budget will work for us if they don’t work on it by May, we’re going to lead our people in a demonstration demanding for KCCA’s promise fulfillment.”   Betty Nalongo Division Kansala Mbuya parish 1 & 2 vowed

Though the two lord councilors tried to calm the leaders but they had all adopted the proposal and by democracy they had to agree with the parish councilors.

“Councilors have given the authority leadership an ultimatum of until the end of May which we are ready to back. Though we have also managed to calm them down, after which they gave us their priority parish roads which hasn’t been an easy task” Mugisha  Moses Okwera Nakawa I lord councilor confirms.
