Katikiro Mayiga cautions Nakawooya against greed, urges Ugandans to buy locally made products



The Buganda premier owekitibwa Charles Peter Mayiga has urged Ugandans to buy locally made products in order to expand the home market base,fight poverty, unemployment and developing the indigenous industries.
While addressing leaders from different counties at Bulange Mengo during the closing of the luwaalo lwo development programme 2018, Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga also urged Ugandans to maintain sanitation in their homes and communities through Buganda’s bulunji bwansi program.
In the meeting, Bulemeezi county leaders led by Kangaawo Ntege Fredrick, the mutuba kuumi Mr.kironde, mayor of Semuto sub county Mr Kizito Richard introduced the aspiring woman member of parliament for Nakaseke district 2021 Esther Nakawooya to the katikiro who he cautioned against working for money, greedy like some leaders but rather serve Ugandans diligently.
He also tasked her to be strong and mobilise more youths to participate in the kingdom’s activities such as bulunji bwansi and other developmental programmes.
Nakawooya assured the katikiro that she will do whatever it takes to encourage the youths in nakaseke district to work hard in the fight against poverty amongst themselves before committing to prioritize the kingdom’s interest.
