The four time presidential aspirant and former Forum Democratic Change FDC president Rtd. Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye has advised the Inspector General of Police Gen Kale Kayihura to resign his position since he is one of the causes of the current insecurity that the country is grappling with.
“Mr. Kayihura is a more failure in terms of security of our people and their property. He has himself admitted that actually he is presiding over organized crime within his force so it’s not in debate that his leadership has failed the country.” Said Besigye
“Asking him to resign or be sucked is the decent thing to do” He added
Besigye in the same way condemned police’s act of parading suspected criminals before the media since they remain innocent until proven guilty thus makes it illegal.
It should be recalled that on Monday this week police Chief Kayihura paraded over 30 suspected criminals to be terrorizing greater Masaka and greater Kampala at Katwe police station with aim of assuring Ugandans that police is not seated but haunting down the criminals
Kayihura also added police had intensified on police patrol all with aiming of curbing crime however some of suspects pinned police for providing them with security.
In the same manner Dr. Kizza Besigye has blamed the current hunger and insecurity in the country on the mismanagement of politics.
Following parliament’ a motion that they declare a state of emergency over shortage of food in the country.
“Food shortage is quiet obviously a crisis, it’s just one intense crisis we have, there is a security crisis in the country that is taking many dimensions. We also have the economic crisis and this crisis has been building over a long time and all of this starts as a political crisis” noted besigye
