KCCA CARNIVAL TO COST 1.3B, DIAMOND PLATINUMS TO GRACE THE EVENT

The executive director of Kampala capital city authority Jennifer musisi ssemakula has revealed that the proceeds of this year’s Kampala City carnival will go towards renovating the 79 government schools.

Ssemakula revealed this while launching Kampala capital city festival 2017 at Kcca headquarters in Kampala.
She says that unlike in the past, this year’s event will run for three days starting on the 06th of October with a charity concert with performance from Tanzania’ Diamond platinums in addition to other local artists where they expect over 100 people to attend the charity concert to the 8th of this month.

The executive director Jennifer musisi ssemakula also  noted that in last years Kampala capital city festival has been attended to by at least 5 millions from various parts of Uganda and outside Uganda.
The vendors will have to remit 20,000 shillings to operate the entire weekend beginning from the 24th of this month.
Various sponsors have remitted their contributions while they are still expecting more.

This years Kampala capital city festival which will end on 8/October 2017 is budgeted for 1.3 billion shillings and will run under the theme cultural diversity.
