Professor Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba (born 17 July 1962), has on Friday afternoon confirmed his visit to Uganda for a public lecture on how the elite can contribute to the African struggles, through mentoring young, courageous and progressive generational leaders being organized by a group of Ugandan youth activists called The Alternative scheduled early this year.
This confirmation has been made the learnt fellow at his Nairobi country home where he had hosted Mr. Norman Tumuhimbise Liberty the leader of The Alternative movement.
Speaking to Mr. Tumuhimbise after the meeting, who seemed excited over the confirmation has told this website how privileged he is for having met the professor.
“It’s true, I have been hosted by one of the most cerebrated leadings lawyers and pan African. In fact he has agreed visiting Uganda soon in a public lecture and he has asked our group (The Alternative) to push on with the arrangements of organizing it.” Mr. Tumuhimbise told this website.
“To me, meeting prof. Lumumba is not a right but rather a privilege that many look up to. What a new year” Tumuhimbise added.
Among other issues discussed included how the youth can network and learn from the experienced and progressive pan-Africanists like Professor Lumumba.
Fearless Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba common known as PLO Lumumba (born 17 July 1962) is a Kenyan who served as the Director of Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission from September 2010 to August 2011 and is currently the Director of The Kenya School of Laws since the year 2014.
