Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago was Discharged
The Lord Mayor was discharged on Saturday morning and is traveling back to Kampala on Monday.
"The Lord Mayor is stable, he was discharged today (Saturday) morning and is traveling back on Monday" said Deputy Lord Mayor Doreen Nyanjura.
Lukwago before discharged condoled with the family of the late Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata, who died on Friday in Kampala and was buried on Saturday
"I was flown to the Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi after doctors who attended to me at Rubaga Hospital and Mulago National Referral Hospital diagnosed me with acute anaphylaxis, a severe, potentially life-threatening allergic reaction."
"I have been told I can get the rest of my treatment in Kampala, but they have given me all the medicine, including an inhaler," Lukwago added.
He thanked the medical teams that attended to him both in Kenya and Uganda for saving his life. Lukwago also thanked Ugandans for the support and prayers.
"I will be coming back to Uganda to receive the remaining treatment," he added.
The Lord Mayor "Ssalongo" Erias Lukwago, 50-year-old politician and lawyer who is seeking to retain his position as Kampala Lord Mayor in next year's elections.
