Magistrate issues an ultimatum in Katatumba, Shumuk diplomatic hotel case

Buganda road court magistrate Stella Amabirisi, has given an ultimatum of  06th and 09th of September to the family of late Boney Katatumba to produce their last witnesses before court  without fail.

The family of late Boney Katatumba accuses Shumuk’s group of companies Shukla Mukesh, for forging documents to take hotel diplomat based at Muyenga a suburb of Kampala city.

Last time, on 27thand 29th/07/2019, when the hearing was held, the applicants said will would  produce  witnesses today 13th, and 14thtomorrow, unfortunately none of the witnesses has  appeared before court today which forced the magistrate to give them another two last days to produce these witnesses without fail,  failure to comply with it, she is to close up the case.

According to the defendants lawyer,  David Bwambale, at least there is hope to close up the case as soon as possible.

The defendant Shukla Mukesh, expressed dissatisfaction in the way the court is handling this case.

Meanwhile Julius Turinawe, the applicants’  lawyer promised to produce the remaining witnesses on the dates which have been agreed upon without fail.
