KAMPALA: The Vice Chancellor of the Victoria University, Associate Prof. Dr. Krishna N. Sharma has told students to be equip themselves with skills and mobilize in Research, Innovation and networking for positive achievements.
Dr. Sharma delivered his remarks while inaugurating the new “Guild Leaders” headed by Mark Serebe at the Victoria University headquarters Kampala.
“You are now the students leader, not only representing students as the guild council, make the achievement product of our slogan, and to achieve it, is to make Research as your final lovely than your partner for the feature generation” Said Krishna
He added that, besides the previous guild councils, this time round they want to see the exact purpose for the standing position in the office by delivering with full of basket fruit and to represent Victoria University across the country and beyond Uganda since it’s ‘International University’
Maria Peggy Nabunya, the out going Guild president requested the university to always reserve space for opportunity with students to participate and thanked the management for the proper guidance.
‘We would like to thank the management of this great University for giving us an opportunity to serve the student community which venture was interesting and educative as we learnt new governance protocols that we shall use” Said Maria
Mark Serebe the new Guild president thanked the students for entrusting them with this important office and pledged to do their best to build strong linkages across board and ensure the mandate before them is effectively implemented.
