Makerere university students prime minister Rt.hon.Jotham Burobuto has signed his positions on grounds yet to be established.
According to the small statement seen by this website Jotham said that he has resigned his work in Ssemboga Roy’ government at will since nobody has forced him to do though he has not officially communicated to the guild council to brief them on his reasons for such action.
” there are a number of fundamental reasons behind my resignation that I have preferred addressing to the guild president in confidence…” says Burobuto, former guild prime minister.
The information minister in the students guild council HON.Abasi kizito revealed that he only learnt of Buroboto resignation on watsapp and his efforts to engage him are futile since his known phone number can’t go through.
Kizito’ story is not different from that of the guild president Ssemboga Roy since he also got the information via watsapp which he confirmed to be true and accepted his resignation however said is devising all means possible to engage Burobuto to know the cause of his resignation.
“Pursuant to Article 82(2) of the Makerere University Students Guild Constitution, Mr. Jothan Y Burobuto has resigned from the position of Prime Minister and I therefore acknowledge receipt of the same.
I thank Mr. Jothan Y Burobuto for his Contribution to the success of the 82nd Guild and I pledge continued collaboration with him for matters pertaining the transformation and development of our great University.” Read Roy’ reponse
