Defending champions Bulemeezi started their title defense against Butambala in a closed door game.
Simon Mugerwa peter coached side conceded in the first stanza in the 23rd minute as Nsereko Sharif rocket put Butambala in the lead assited by Musa Jagwe.
The first stanza ended when the Champions were one goal down.
The second half kicked off as Bulemeezi started in a high gear pressing the leaders.
After 10 minutes of play in the second half, Kakaire Tomas was introduced and showed a classic display with and without the ball.
In the 75th Minute, the flamboyant talent Kakaire Tomas equalized with an easy tap in after Katerega Bernardo free header was denied by Butambala goalkeeper Fahad Emuran.
Bulemeezi had three chances to win the game but two of them hit the post as the third was saved by the goalkeeper Emuran.
The centre referee Kaddu Ali blown the final whistle as the champions were held to draw in an opener game.
The tournament will continue tomorrow as 2018 winners Singo host Bululi at 12pm at FUFA Technical centre, Njeru.
