McKinstry Brings Back Murushid Juuko and Tonny Mawejje in Chan Provisional Squad

By; Denis Kayongo. Uganda Cranes head coach Johnathan McKinstry has named a 28-man provisional squad for the African Nations Championship tournament that will be held in Cameroon in 2021.

The Uganda Cranes Head coach Jonathan McKinstry has brought in  some new faces in the squad. Defenders Eric Ssenjobe and Muhamood Hassan both working with Abdalla Mubiru at Police FC and striker Joseph Ssemujju who is currently at Bul Fc are the news faces at the squad.

McKinstry has brought the majority of players who were in Cecafa 2019 whcich was in Kampala and those who were involved in Chan qualifiers.

Said Kyenune, Shafiq Kagimu, Said Ssekajjugo, Ben Ocen, Hassan Ssenyonjo, Stephen Mukwala, Karim Watambala, Ashraf Mandela, Paul Willa, Patrick Mbowa, Mustafa Mujjuzi, Halid Lwaliwa and Joel Mutakubwa are the players who have mantained their places on the squad.

The Cranes head coach has also brought in three players form the Hippos who were in Tanzania for Cecafa U-20. Full-back Aziz Kayondo, midfielder Bobosi Byaruhanga and forward Ivan Bogere have got their calls at the provisional squad.

McKinstry has excluded players from Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA FC) from the provisional squad owing to the Caf Confederation Cup duties in December and January against AS Kigali of Rwanda.
