Minister Mbayo concerned about the poor state of education in rural areas

The Minister for presidency and woman member of parliament for Luuka district Esther Mbayo has exhibited the need to improve the quality of education in rural areas to meet the quality of those in urban areas.

The above prompted Mbayo to start up a project dubbed Special Impact Education project SIMEP with the aim of improving education in rural areas starting with her mother district Luuka and to achieve this the minister is fund raising for the same cause.

In abide to raise to the call, Luuka plastic company has donated scholastic materials worth 10 millions shillings which will be donated to primary seven candidates in luuka district and a scholarship will be given to the candidate who scores aggregates four in primary leaving examinations up to university level.
The donation has been handed to the deputy chairperson of SIMEP Vincent Musubire, who said that current performance of pupils in Luuka is still low and worrying hence their target is to move the performance of  2.02% to 5% in this year from last year.
On behalf of Luuka Plastics LTD, Husinah Natukunda said that it’s their responsibility to help the society they serve especially in terms of educating the young ones
