MP Ssempala Kigozi survives lynching during LC1 elections

Makidye ssabagabo municipality legislator Hon Emmanuel Ssempala Kigozi alias Ssajjalyabene has on Tuesday morning survived being lynching by the hungry electorates of Kanyanya zone in Ndejje division during their local Council one elections.
Hon. Kigozi who is a Democratic Party DP die hard had gone to inspect the process but the electorates did not accommodate him at St. John Church polling station.
The electorates hauled insults at him while chasing him from the polling station since he does not belong to Kanyanya zone but rather Mirimu Zone hence his presence could influence and change many things in the electoral process.
Others accused Kigozi of neglecting them at the time when they need him the most especially when this young municipality is implementing programs which affects them though with a good cause.

Meanwhile Kanyanya, Lufuka,  and Mirimu zone have proved to be the  the most chaotic zone in Ndejje division during these elections to the extent that by press at 2pm they had not finished reading out the names of the electorates to line up.
The contest is between dp’s Ssalongo Isaac Kalanzi Ssegwanyi and Abdullah Busulwa on an independent ticket, in Lufuka it’s between incumbent Hajji Abdul Mugisha and Dp’s Kateregga.
Mr. Kulabako Mutebi emerged the Victor over the youthful Bido Alex and aged Muwonge Hamidu for Ndejje central zone.
Police has been heavily deployed in all these polling station to over see the electoral process.
