Munyagwa given up to Thursday to formally withdraw from FDC presidential race

After last weekend’s decision by the Kawempe south legislator Mubarak Munyagwa to step down as FDC presidential candidate, the party electoral commission has given him upto 9th November to submit his formally submit his letter withdrawing from the race.

Speaking to the media at the party headquarters at Najjanankumbi  Kampala, Dan Mugarura the party electoral commission boss confirmed Munyagwa’s claims after him (Mubarak) calling and emailing the official though by press time he had not formally a letter notifing the commission about the same.

“Its true Munyagwa called and emailed us in regards to his stepping down but you never know someone could hack into his email account of steal his phone and forge the voice and later he comes out himself claiming that he hadn’t stepped down so as he was nominated from here, he should come here and express his decision” Mugarura confirms.

“He is given upto Thursday for us to receive his letter and failure for him to adhere to our call, we shall continue to count him as a candidate and he will be on the ballot come November 24th at Namboole national stadium” Mugarura warns.
