Following almost two weeks detention of the Alternative  Cordinator Norman Tumuhimbise without trial, the group Members have decided to take his family members to the residence of inspector General of Police General Edward Kale Kayihura so that he takes care of them as one of to the protest for his “illegal detention.

While addressing journalists in kampala, Bashir Kazibwe, the Deputy coordinator of the alternatives said that since Norman’  arrest  and detention, his family members are suffering due financial constraints to cater for themselves and their needs .

He added that their comrade is ill and needs to get medication but police has failed to release him and to take him to hospital.

Norman was arrested by the police’s flying squad unit, and detained at Kira road police station on 27th/09/ 2017 to date he has not appeared before any court of judicature.
They all assert that they will not stop at taking the family to the police chief residence but will take a number of civil  actions which they believe will force  police to releases their colleague.
Though Kazibwe was relectaunt to give us the dates they intend to execute their intentions.
