According to Diana Natukunda the executive director women’s organization network for human rights advocate,  HIV in sex worker’s reduced compared to  previous years.

“HIV among adult’s reduced from 52% to 22% between 1989 and 1999, continue reducing to 6.4 % by 2010 and now HIV stands on 5.4% with standing registered new cases/infection of 53000 in 2018 however 70% of all new infection are attributed to sexual transmission meaning condoms must be available and education is one of the most critical issue for tracking HIV”. Diana said

” 20% of all the new infections are attributable to sex worker’s by their Partners and clients which makes a light to sex worker’s as one of the group that ought to be given particular focus as a priority population in the battle against HIV/ADS” Diana adds
