NRM FORMS A COMMITTEE TO SCRUTINIZE LAND AMENDMENT BILL

The ruling National Resistance Movement NRM caucus has set up an 8 member committe headed by the vice president H.E edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi to follow up on the loop holes in the land amendment bill 2016.
This after the member of the ruling party nafional resistance movement party met with the president at state house entebbe to harmonize the bill so that both government projecsts and land owners are not affected or compromised.
Addressing the media the government chief whip Ruth Nankabirwa said that all the 278 mps suppoerted the principle of not dalaying government projects.
Nankabirwa added that the committe that was given an ultimatum of two weeks complete the challenge ask.
Their focus will be mainly on timely petitions, compensation without  brutality, and harmonious agreement between the land owners and government.
she thus called upon Ugandans to keep calm as they await the committe’ report
