NRM SUSPENDS KIRYANDONGO RETURNING OFFICER, ISSUES ROAD MAP FOR KIBANDA NORTH BY ELECTIONS

The ruling National Resistance Movement NRM party has summoned both the Kiryandongo district electoral commission officer Shaban Byenkya and the ousted Kibanda north county MP Taban Idd Amin in Kiryandongo district on NRM ticket to answer questions relating to the 18/02/2016 general elections.
This has revealed by the party electoral commission boss Dr. Tanga Odoi, at the party secretariat Kampala while releasing a tentative roadmap for the party primaries for the constituency of Kibanda north county, kiryandongo district following  court of appeal’ ruling on the 17/06/2017 which ousted  Taban Idd Amin from parliament on grounds of lack of perquisite academic qualifications since the papers indicated Tabana Idd Amin Tampo in stead of Taban Idd Amin.
Dr.Tanga Odoi revealed that picking of expression of interest and nomination forms will take palce on 23rd-28th June 2017; at the party electoral commission headquarter Kampala, 24th/06/2017 consultative meeting with stakeholders at the party EC district headquarters, 29th-30th/June joint campaign, 7th-17th July update of register, 14th July polling day, 15th-18th/ July conflict resolution if any, and nomination of candidates will held on 19th-20th July 2017 at district headquarters.
In the same Tanga has suspended the  Shaban Benkya who was the district NRM returning officer until the matter of incompetence is solved.
Each of the interested candidate  will have to pay a non refundable fee of UGX 2 millions.
