The National Resistance Movement NRM Buganda youth Caucus led by their chairperson Joseph Mukasa Ssewava, head legal affairs Andrew Kiryowa and Habib Mboowa have made an appeal to president Museveni to reshuffle his cabinet immediately excluding six ministers purported to have performed their duties diligently.Displaying IMG_20170601_105409.jpg

Addressing a news conference today Ssewava asserted that a bigger number of government ministers are incompetent, corruptible filled with intrigue, internal bickering while others have become god fathers in the ministries hence deserve to be sacked by yesterday save for a few like the prime minister Ruhana Rugunda, the education minister Janet Kataha Museveni, information minister Frank Tumwebaze, state minister for youth Florence Nakiwala Kiyinji, state minister for tourism Godfrey Kiwanda Ssuubi and state minister for works and transport Gen. Katumba Wamala.

These youth are concerned that any delay is reshuffling the current crop of ministers, it will fail president museveni’ objective of steering the country to middle income status by 2020.

“we must have order of services, politics must stop, we implore the president to do an immediate reshuffle and eliminate all these intrigue fellows who are failing our government and kisanja hakuna muchezo.

He should appoint able, knowledgeable, royal, economically stable minister rather than his relatives, friends and bush war veterans” Said SsewavaDisplaying IMG_20170601_105413.jpg

When asked whether the problem doesn’t emanate from the appointing authority who has failed to prevail over his cabinet, ssewava emphasized that the president is still very strong and competent.

The youths sited out the Kampala Minister Betty Olive Namisango Kamya, the ministers in the lands ministry that’s Betty Amongi and Persis Namuganza and the state minister for ICT Aidah Elios Nanataba as some of the worst performers and custodians of the bickering and intrigue in their ministries.

The group has also launched a campaign dubbed “Evaluation Task Force Team” and this will see them monitor ministers, permanent secretaries and resident’s district commissioners RDCs.

The campaign is speared headed by Habib Mboowa
