OPPOSITION MPs UNVEIL NATIONWIDE CAMPAIGN AGAINST LAND ACT AMENDMENTS

Opposition members of parliament have embarked on a country wide sensitization on the land amendment bill 2017, where government seeks to takeover private land ownered land even when they don’t agree on the prices for compensation.
These led by the leader of opposition Winnie Kizza while addressing a press conference said that they have  embarked on a countrywide sensitization and consultations  against the passing of this bill because it contradicts clause 26b of the constitution
Winnie kizza  on behalf of other mps also said that the passing of this law will give government and president museveni in particular powers to own whole the land in uganda thus denying ugandans to the right to own in their land.
Kizza said that the passing of the bill into a law will increase the cases of corruption.

She stressed that they are to begin their campaign tomorrow Friday in masaka, then Kampala till they finish all  the 21 subregions in the country

Citing Shimon school, hoima and Naguru estates said government takes of land but delays on development.
