This Thursday morning a youth pressure group  the Jobless Brotherhood has thrown a  yellow painted piglet at the  entrance of state house  Nakasero  in protest of the purported move to lift the presidential age limit and the amendment of the land act to allow compulsory take over land by government.
The piglet also had a paper attached on it reading “True: my age is over , I won’t follow the constitution on age and land.”
When contacted the national publicist of the group Robert Mayanja said that as youth they could not look on after landing on information that president museveni is planning to dish out 12 billion to MPs to have the age limit and Land act amended.
“we don’t want these old mafias to think that we are sleeping president Museveni his own constitution has caught up with him, we are angry that he is planning to dish out 12 billions to the MPs to amend article 102(b) of the constitution to lift the age limit.
We are so bitter about the proposal to amend the land act were they want to insert a proposal for government to be the sole owner of land in Uganda.” said mayanja.
“This business of taking our Land and pay later, why don’t they also wait until my business stops struggling then I pay them their taxes” he added
In the same way Mayanja says that the move was a response to the state of the national address and the 29 trillion budget as read by the minister for finance Matia Kasija.
“The state of the nation was an insult to the integrity of Citizens of Ugandans but most especially to the youth of this country who are struggling, jobless and burdened by the extravacancy of the regime so we had to express our anger by using that very animal painted in yellow colour” said mayanja
“I have no kind words to describe the budget of 29 trillions in a country whose economy is agro base, a country that is facing famine and Land disputes where is the money going to come from, I saw the finance minister laughing in his dream.”.he concluded.
