Police arrests 12 youths over rampant corruption protests in kampala

There was chaos early this morning in kampala as three different activists groups demonstrated over the rampant corruption in Uganda.
The demostration was held in an effort to water down the anti corruption walk that was led by the president on December 4th 2019, The demonstrators code named Their campaign “The real anti-corruption walk”.
The demonstrators who were dressed in black overall donned with the numerous corruption scandals, bare foot in addition to ringing bells,¬† blocked¬† Entebbe road but their show was short lived following police’ intervention arresting and detaining 12 of them at CPS Kampala.
The detained  include; Faridah Bikobere, Mukooli Saadi, Ssemwanga Jackson, Kemigisha Sharon, Lutta Ferdinand, Nakiyemba Joan, Yiga Muzafalu, Lukwago Ashraph, Kaweesi Badru, Muyingo Henry, Jimmy Gafaayo, Richard Kizito, Tumukunde Godfrey and Nayesiga Shailock.
The demonstration is alleged to having been led the female leadership of The Alternative Social Movement, Uganda Poor Youth Movement and the Red top Brigade.
This demonstration comes after almost two years of The Alternative massive and countrywide training of activists on non-violence movement building
