Police Investigating Meera Group Vs UK Firm Over Feud Violation of Contract.

Kampala: Kampala metropolitan police KMP under it’s Katwe Division is investigating a bitter failure between the city tycoon Dr. Sudhir Ruperaria of Meera Group of companies and Paul Moore’s, the director FBW, UK based international consultancy firm over fraud allegations.
The feud is as a result of Meera Investment claiming that, FBW defrauded    630,000 US dollars close to 2.5 billions shillings for the construction of both  the speke apartments wampeewo avenue and Kabira Hotel extension.
This confirmed by the Kampala metropolitan police, spokesperson Patrick Onyango that the South Office (Katwe) had opened a case and had recorded statement from both personnels of Meera Investment and FBW, efforts to speak to Dr. Sudhir and Moore’s proved futile, Sudir’s phone well answered while Moore’s said ” I have no comment for media now”
However, PressUg has continued scoop the details of the public file registered as KMP south. 151/2019 in which Meera Investment claims they entered into a contract with FBW for the construction of speke apartments and Kabira Hotel.
“Meera Investment signed both Contract’s in 2012 with an upfront payment of 275,00 US dollars close to 1 Billion for speke apartments and 375,000 US dollars close to 1.4 Billions for Kabira extension”
Meera Investment continue states in it’s statement that the Kabira extension failed to kick off because the architecture company defrauded them yet they had already paid them 90% of the monies a greed on.
“Under the copies of agreements signed between the two companies, Meera Investment was supposed to have paid 30% at the signing, 34% between the stages of construction and 5% upon completion of the project.
“Meera Investment requested for working drawings so that construction starts, however this did not happened” Meera Lawyer said in the statement

It has worked on several projects in East Africa which includes, Hotels such as the Commonwealth Resort Hotel Kampala, Lake Victoria Hotel and Kigali Marriott Hotel  Rwanda.
Other schools project includes, Kampala International School, Kampala Parents School and International School of Uganda.
Commercial building includes, Kingdom Kampala, the British High Commission and Stone Town Kabalagala.
